IS WINTER AT LOL

I were checking some of my old posts and I realized that there is just one sim I blogged more then once, and this sim is LOL.

LOL is a place where the creativity blows from every corners by the hand of the talented and adorable Pallina Loon.

Even before meet her in SL profile feeds, I had blogged LOL twice. She is a great artist and a wonderful human being.

Right now she is working in ice sculptures at LOL, and no, I wont show you pictures of her work, because you need to see it in world, because none of my pictures would make it justice.

Let it Snow!

I know I've being relapse in blogging, but RL is taking over during this last couple months. But lets try to run against the clock and make the little time I have in SL worth it!

There are many, many events going on SL right now, some are near to end... like With Love Hunt, a hunt with great creators setting items worth 400L at least for only 10L.

Other is a event called Unhinged, you can know more about it here.

This pictures were taken on my beloved place, Kittens Heaven, that is my winter wonderland. You can find an ice skating tour near the café, also my yard sale with items from arcade.

I also have something for you, you can get my windlights for viewer that use tone mapping here, and the Windlights and the water setting I use on Kittens Heaven.

Around the World , land Galway!

Around the world is an event organized by The Ego Co. and brings to us many great themed items, I mixed and matched some different regions and I guess I ended with an aborigine look here, but I like it!

I have no idea how I found this adorable sim called Galway. There is nothing on the sim's description  what makes me imagine this is a domestic sim that still is open to public, allow rezz and run scripts, but I'm not sure how long it will last.

Is not Halloween anymore....

I had a really hard time IRL near the Halloween and I couldn't post this pictures in time. 

This collage (badly made because I have no skills) show all pictures I did, but I cannot post all of them, is too much, but you can see them full size on my flickr.

The scary male monster on pictures is my friend BobGary. He doesn't have a blog, but you can see his works at his Flickr or SL webprofile.

By the way, do you ever used your webprofile? Is a great tool to share things like pictures, places, meet different views of sl.

You don't need to friend someone to see their sl webprofile, you can just follow it. If you want to see my raw pictures, you can follow me too. I have more pictures on my webprofile then on this blog.

Anyway, the main piece of this pictures is the mouth by Contraption. This is an awesome store with wicked, quirky and amazing items. There are more "normal" stuff there, kind of steam punk, but everything is well made, you should give it a try.

Kittens Heaven - Autumn Season

Once again I will do a shameless plug to my sim, Kittens Heaven, because I really think it is adorable to see and I want you all to come enjoy my dream.

Right now the sim has an Autumn decoration, but soon I really intent to change it to winter, because I love sims that change with the seasons.

I created a special windlight and water settings just for this sim, so I hope you acepted change the preferences to sim while you here.

Try to search the romantic spots all over the sim, like the boat ride .

Café Green Gables

Café Green Gables is a really cozy Japanese place. The decoration makes me want stay for long time just looking around and relax a bit.

I wear a really cozy outfit and feel like home here.

Costume Ball - The litte devil in me

Oh.. the eternal battle between good and evil, angels and demons.. or just the battle between our own feelings?

Anyway... the sweet little angel on the first picture is Adrienne Walpole, you can find her style card on her blog. She says she is a war Goddess, but for me she looks more like a cupid :P

My self demon here is a mix and match of various events in SL, those I really appreciate to visit, shopping and sometimes be part of.

Some girl that calls herself as blogger made a post bashing all events, organizers and creators, telling so many unpleasant things that are no worth to be mentioned.

If you don't like an event, don't go there, if you think some creators have no quality for your standard, don't buy from them.

Constructive critics are always welcome, but free drama for nothing is just silly, creators join events because they want to do, we buy the stuffs we really like to have, so what is the point of complain of it all?

Costume Ball at a Kittens Heaven Haunted House

Halloween is coming, and this claims for some spooky themed posts. I took this pictures at a haunted little house at Kittens Heaven where is always raining, even inside the house.

There is a really sad woman's soul in this house, she cries because she lose her loved one. The eternal rain is made of her tears.

But even in the middle of sadness we can find some beauty. Flowers grows where her tears touches the ground, so even in the autumn you will find wild and eerie flowers there... this flowers are the symbol of her eternal love, no matter were it is....

(I'm the worst story teller ever... but anyway...)

Changing the subject here, but not so much, there are many events going on sl right now, and one of them is a dark themed , but classy, Costume Ball.

Costume Ball is an event organized by The Ego Co, and it will start tomorrow, you will find some nice things for your Halloween.

Other events going one are Cinema, Zodiac and Fair.

Zodiac this month is my favorite of all, Scorpio is the subject here, the most charming, sexy and dangerous sign (and my sing obviously).

I will try to keep it up and blog more about this events.

Cinema is an event that goes until the end of this month, that have inspired and themed items from the romance, action/adventure, sci-fi, horror, fantasy/musical, film noir… and…. XXX genres.

Welcome to Kittens Heaven Café!

Ohai fellows! Did you missed me? No? Nobody  noticed my absence....

For those that noted... I can explain... bringing some good news. My SL dream come true... this weekend I opened to public my own sim, yes, a brand new sim for you all visit. It is called Kittens Heaven.

There are many places to explore and take pictures. As a SL explorer I know that we love places that allow rezz, because it make a way easier take group pics... so.. my sim allow rezz and run scripts.

You will find a cozy café here. Click on all food and drinks, because many of them are interactive. My pictures are taken on the second floor of this café, were you will find a Bar and a stage with some nice poses on it (that I'm not showing)

This sim is decorated for autumn, I hope you all enjoy it .

Now I need to tell you that some things might change in this blog... I may not explore properly sl for a while, because I kinda fell in love for my place and I want to blog all pretty nooks on it.

Plus, I kinda want to do some studios pictures, now that I have prim enough to do my own and private studio... is what I will do.. eventually ;-)

So I will do some simple LOTD pictures or whatever came into my mind... please don't go away!!!

Cupcake and Vintage Fair

Cupcake sim has an lovely old Parisian theme, with great buildings, fountains, benches and of course great stores to make you shop until drop.

I made a warmth and sunny windlight for this pictures, and I'm still using Niran's tone mapping.

Sunshine Mist and last week of Vintage Fair

Sunshine Mist is a friendly residential sim, but it is also home for Pixel Beam Café. It is a great hangout, with great events, DJs and friendly people.

Plus, it is gorgeous! Came with your friends or your loved one, because this place allow rezz, so enjoy and take your pictures too!

Vintage Fair will close August 29th, so hurry up to grab all this goodies!

Vintage ... I love it

I am a Vintage lover, and this is the main reason I'm here, to tease you all with Vintage Fair goodies.

As soon as I put my little pixel hands on this bodysuit I imagined an pinup, and this is what was my intention while doing this pics.

I'm styling some new brands for me, Chemistry and Lace. The first one is quite small (yet) and has two mesh hairs, one is this vintage fabulous one.

Lace is one of stores at VF, they have really detailed jewelry, it has a color change hud that customize every single piece of the set, like the color of the beads, the body, eyes, tail and ribbon of the kitties. I'm really impressed.

Hippie Chic at Dura Dura

Dura Dura is a sim under construction, but it is already stunning.

It is also a home of some great stores like Roly-Poli, Memoir and Dura. Except for Memoir, all stores are in the sky, but the ground is the place where I took the pictures.

I decided to do a boho/hippie chic girl to explore this place..

Almost everything I'm wearing are Vintage Fair exclusive items.

Devious Pinup

Vintage Fair is my favorite event in SL, I spead my posts between this blog and Chic-Style Guide and Chic Management. Since Chic Style Guide will be off really soon, I will reblog my posts here, so you can check it out anytime!

I decided to make this rock and roll pin-up as  soon as I set my eyes on this amazing dress by Devious Mind.  This dress is mesh and came in standard sizes, but it is a way more curvier then most mesh clothes I see around lately.  And curves are prerogative for pin-ups!

Common Grounds at Club Road south

Common Grounds is an awesome Café on the Club Road South Sim (part of the really nice sim chain part of The Groove).

This si a cozy and beautiful place to take pics, it has some great furniture with poses and allow rezz, so bring your friends and family to enjoy the lake view. 

Im wearing some cool items from vintage fair. Some people might say I'm not wearing a single vintage item, but I need to remember you all that 80's is already vintage *winks*.

Silver Rose and Vintage Fair

Silver Rose is a sim where you can find Tony Tas Town, an old city with French look, a theater with burlesque dancers. 

The theme is  1920 buildings, with a church, some homes and stores.

I really loved this sim to take some pictures with more Vintage Fair goodies!

New York City and Vintage Fair Preview

New York sim is not just an Urban place, it is a mix of residential and commercial place, that have a small sample of  the RL city with same name. It has Soho's houses, Apartments, stylish shops like on 5th avenue. They even have a website, check it out for more info about this sim lifestyle.

It is a really nice place to take shots, since it allow rezz objects and run scripts.

Choose a dark Windlights, because the local lights are really amazing.

I keep testing the Tone Mapping and SSAO tools from Niran's viewer. I used some blur and liquidify on this pictures, but I didn't edited the color filters at all.If you doubt an raw shot can be like this, check out my sl feeds, were direct pictures from sl are posted.

When you activate the tone mapping, all windlights  get messed up, so I might create an separate download for windlights with the default numbers of tone mapping, exposure and more.

I mess with them too, editing it like I would do in PS.

Now, lets talk about my favorite event in the whole SL, the Vintage Fair. The 3 sims will be open to public on august 4th. Gibson

Gibson the home of Nexus Prime - Cyberpunk City of the Future. It looks like a futuristic church on the ground level, but if you fly for the shafts, or cam around, you will find this really charming bar/restaurant that remembers me some vintage art deco, but full of red neon lights.

My tests with tone mapping on Nirans viewer continue! I almost didn't edit it on PS, so this contrast, exposure and saturation are exactly the same as the raw shot.

Cool right?

I may say that it made my brand new skin from Glam Affair  look really great, but it messed up with the streaks of my Alice Project hair.

By the way, this hair is available at Hair fair, that ends tomorrow, so hurry up!

Pixel dreams and One Voice

Pixel dream is a lovely creation by the Owner of Pixel Mode. At the land point you need to choose the store or T-Town, the name of this installation at ground level.

It is a nice country farm.. .sort of.

It is pretty, well built and textured.

Im testing some features on nirans viewer, like gamma correction and tone mapping and SSAO Option, I think it turned my pics a little weird, with some blue spots, and made shadows blue... weird, but here is the result, I would love comment on this subject.

Well, there are a couple hours before one voice ends. Go there ! Hurry! And thanks a lot for all of you that supported Gala and all creators standing with then against hypocrite thief s.

The New Yorker and One Voice

The New Yorker is a sim dedicated obviously to NY, there is an stunning park and an art gallery, called Gallery of Pain.

There is some disturbing and beauty walking hand in hand here.

The other part of this post... is about One Voice, a fund raiser to help Gala Phoenix to defense herself in jury against Hush owner. 

If you have no ideia what Im talking about, check this site.

This is not a fund raiser for a person, but against injustice. A person create in SL, make success and suddenly a thief file a DMCA against you, all your items are removed from sl, what is your bread bringer job... and in a country that isn't yours.

How many creators could be attacked like this for scrupulous person?

So this is not an event to help one creator, but an event to show the strength of the SL community against theft.

Fluid is an event focused in props and poses, with rotation each two weeks. This round the overall theme is "That's Risque".  It's broken down into 3 sub-categories: Burlesque, S&M, and Voyeurism & Exhibitionism.

I usually don't do studio pics, but is kinda nice work with it times to times.
